More iPad3 Rumors – Launch Day March 7th?
February 14, 2012 // 0 CommentsThe Washington Post and many other sources are now getting more specific about the iPad3 launch with many of them calling March 7th – “Launch Day”. 4GLTE sounds like a done deal and there are now solid sources for the rumors about size – 8 inches to be exact. As with any Apple product launch we won’t know for sure what the full details are until they want us to know but as the date gets near, we are hearing more solid deals on the product.
UPDATE: iPad3 hostage? New update from Bloomberg that Proview’s patent case against Apple resulted in iPads being seized in China. Rumors that iPad3′s may be barred from export is an even more interesting story. (geek.com)
Personally I really don’t care about 4GLTE on the iPad. I have an iPad2 and most of my heavy content is done over WiFi with the occasional 3G use when needed. Adding 4GLTE without an unlimited plan is just saying you can get from one stop light to the next much faster… who cares? According to Zite (via CNET), they can tell when users are using their app and iPhones are mostly used during the day and iPads are more of a night time use product. Which means most of those users at night are on WiFi. Now, if we see an iPhone 5 coming soon with 4GLTE, then we can talk.
More to come I’m sure.
